Orgatec 2006: hall 11

As customary, a few days following the end of the Cologne show, the Editorial office of OfficeBit presented the latest Orgatec 2006 products through the usual ‘design promenade’, which was held in the four large pavilions hosting the international production of office fittings.

After our first episode devoted to pavilion 10, the “virtual path” continues with hall 11.

Ottochairs range by B&B Italia originates from the innovative printing technology of bicomponent plastic materials. It includes an all-encompassing range of seats (12 models) suitable for the most different uses: from training rooms to meeting rooms, from coffee shops to waiting rooms. In addition items are available with both partial and full covering, with or without arms, fixed or on wheels.

Bene supplied over 700 work stations for BMW offices designed by Zaha Hadid, who won Best Office award at Orgatec 2006. The furnishing design was developed in close collaboration with the automotive enterprise: colours, covering, partitions (with the peculiar mid-air windows). In addition to the open spaces, the layout included some more secluded spaces aimed at favouring higher concentration.

Bisley, English leader brand for filing systems, is distributed in Italy by Moroni Gomma. The brand confirmed with Wave range the same characteristic shiny lines of its typical production of drawer chests. The range is available in three heights: 495, 645 and 695 mm (this last just created to meet the need of drawer-chest supports for work tables); two widths: 300 and 420 mm.

Tec Profile by Dauphin must be noted thanks to the small shape of the backrest at the height of shoulders allowing to better move the trunk ensuring, at the same time, a comfortable rest of the back. Every control element, as the height adjustment of footrest (optional), can be started when seating; side handles guarantee safe grip of the backrest in the outer side of the upholstered area avoiding this last to be dirtied. In addition, upholstery can be replaced at pleasure depending on the type of use and Dauphin supplies different coverings.

Boxline Vertical File by Dieffebi, which was introduced as preview in Cologne, offers vertical filing solutions thanks to overlapping or hanging modular units. They are made in epoxy-powder painted metal (colours: aluminium, white or black) and equipped with roll-up blind, folding or unframed shutter to be in line with different –even already existing – furnishing solutions from an aesthetical point of view.

Lineager has manufactured for over forty years chairs for offices, communities and contract sector with a wide range of models and coverings able to meet the needs of both managerial and operational offices. Ella, Ema, Abby and Roxy ranges are showed in the catalogue and managerial, operational and waiting models, with or without arms can be selected.

Seattable by Bulgarian Ort agency is at the same time seat and writing desk. With only a gesture its use can be changed depending on the needs and can be comfortably stacked to save space. The products are available in a wide range of colours and fabrics, and have already achieved different international approvals.

MM (millimetre, due to the ease to be customized) is the new offer by Samas. The range was designed to allow easy configuration and system enlargements. Tops, with T- and C-shaped structure or with four legs can be equipped with both electric and hand height adjustment. The products are in line with the different international standards and will be available in 2007 with Assenburg, Schärf and Sitag by Samas brands.
